Summer Day School | Pee Wee Prep | Bantam Prep | Checking Camp | Goalie Special
All registrations must be accompanied by a minimum $100 deposit. The balance will then be due prior to the first sessions at registration time. You may cancel this contract at any time within 14 days after you sign it by sending a registered letter, or notice by personal delivery to Excel Hockey Programs.
Summer Day School ($260) (Sessions A, B, C, D)
Hockey players, ages 5 to 14, will experience 5 exciting days of powerskating, skill development, scrimmages, film sessions, and great summer fun! Each 5 hour day will consist of 2 on-ice sessions (totalling 3 hours of ice time) and a 2 hour off-ice session. On the sixth day, we finish off with the Saturday Morning Game! A low instructor/player ratio is maintained at all times.
$260 (GST included) Fee includes Excel hockey jersey.
First On-Ice Session
Features power skating instruction for the first 30 minutes. This is followed by 1 hour of individual skill instruction on passing, puckhandling, shooting and team concepts using progressive and challenging drills. The Atoms and PeeWees will also receive special body contact and checking instruction at this time.
Peewee Advanced Skills Camp
One group will be especially for the elite Peewee hockey player 'A' or 'AA' with emphasis on offensive and defensive skills, situation play and checking in addition to skills development.
Bantam Hockey Day Camp
Excel again this year offers a skill development opportunity for Bantam players. Emphasis will be on offensive and defensive tactics, team play, checking and power skating.
Off-Ice Session
Consists of outdoor activities which are fun, supervised and full participation for all players. Players are encouraged to wear running shoes and bring a nutritious lunch for this time off ice. We encourage all players to bring their own water bottle.
Second On-Ice Session
Team concepts, positional play, and game strategies will be reviewed at this time, making sure to reinforce on ice what was covered in the earlier session. The main feature is a full ice game against an equally matched team from the other ice surface!
Saturday is Game Day!
On Saturday morning, we conclude the week with a 1 1/4 hour game. This is each hockey player's opportunity to display improved skills to enthusiastic parents and fans--the highlight of the week!
*When registering for the Day School, you should select the age group that your player will be entering in the Fall, but also keep in mind the individual's skill level.
*Day school pre-registration on Sunday night (Aug.3, 2008) from 7:00-9:00 at the Jemini 4 Arenas. There's a free skate from 7:00-9:00 for registered players (helmets required).
Bantam Prep Camp ($150) (Session E)
This program follows a hockey school format. The important individual skills are still stressed, but added to this are the group concepts, the thought processes, and the decision-making required of a higher level of hockey. Scrimmage nightly. 1 1/2 hours ice time per night. (13 & 14 year olds).

PEE WEE & BANTAM PREP CAMP FORM
Pee Wee Prep Camp ($150) (Session F)
This program follows a hockey school format. The important individual skills are still stressed, but added to this are the group concepts, the thought processes, and the decision-making required of a higher level of hockey. Scrimmage nightly. 1 1/2 hours ice time per night. (11 & 12 year olds)

PEE WEE & BANTAM PREP CAMP FORM
Pee Wee/Atom Checking Camps ($150) (Session G)
A logical progression from body position, angling, stick checking and body contact to body checking will be taught and tested throughout this camp. Skating conditioning and live scrimmage also included. 1 1/2 hours per night. A great camp for making the transition to checking in Hockey.

Goalie Special (Session H)
We need goalies for all our Summer Day School and Prep Camp sessions. Our Goalie instructors circulate to each session to offer one on one instruction for our young goalies. We limit to 3 goalies per session. Day school goalies experience the same 5 hour day as regular skaters, as well as individual instruction again for Excel this year! Fee includes Excel hockey jersey.
